With 5 years of collecting coins from recycled cans and penny donations, Jeanne Hopkins and Gloria Stemler started L'Chayim. L'Chayim was created in the memory of Eva Hopkins, Jeanne's mother who died of cancer just as she was beginning to blossom. Fostering a community of "hospitality with dignity and love", L'Chayim respects the basic human need for love and acceptance.
